3D Printing Book recommendation

Published by Joakim Friberg, Arkwright Group - Associate in Technology

Just wanted to recommend the book Makers-The New Industrial Revolution by Chris Anderson that I've read this summer. A great introduction to 3D printing and the future of production/fabrication.

Amazon writes:

Wired magazine editor and bestselling author Chris Anderson takes you to the front lines of a new industrial revolution as today’s entrepreneurs, using open source design and 3-D printing, bring manufacturing to the desktop.  In an age of custom-fabricated, do-it-yourself product design and creation, the collective potential of a million garage tinkerers and enthusiasts is about to be unleashed, driving a resurgence of American manufacturing.  A generation of “Makers” using the Web’s innovation model will help drive the next big wave in the global economy, as the new technologies of digital design and rapid prototyping gives everyone the power to invent -- creating “the long tail of things”.

Please share if you know any other good books on the topic?

If you are interested in investments check out Arcam, a Swedish 3D printing company in the aerospace and orthopedic implant industry. Best performing stock on Nasdaq OMX , (the Swedish stock exchange). Has done 300% so far this year!!

I also recommend this book. ...

I also recommend this book. It touches on some of the important topics of distributed manufacturing and crowd sourced designing. However, the book does not address how these new approaches will fit in or compete with existing manufacturing.
