Clown Doctors Singapore has just been registered a month ago. (Non-Profit Organisation)

The idea and the program originally started in Israel.
The project integrates professional medical clowning into the medical services provided in hospitals.

The goal is to transform Clowning Therapy into an officially recognized and firmly established paramedical profession acquired through a specialized academic training program.

Below a quick intro from the Israeli organisation (http://www.dreamdoctors.org.il/eng/)

I know the person in charge of Clown Doctor Singapore - Eliane Stadelmann-Boving, they have just started. They apparently have the funding (from an individual) but are in need of help for their branding, marketing and help during their hospital clown mission.

On Sunday, their will be the first article about them on Sunday Times Singapore,
On the 11 July, they will start the interviews of clowns and from August they will have the first training in Singapore (about 15 to 20 candidates for 30 days training with the help of an Israeli doctor and another professional from New-Zealand.)

That is all i know from now, just wanted to share it, as i personally did some good times in hospital when i was young and it is a terrifying place to be at that age and really boring.

Cheers and TOY,

Nicolas

Thank you for sharing this Nikola - I will keep a lookout for this article on Sunday. We know friends of TOY who work in the branding and marketing world in Singapore and maybe we can get them involved!
